Welcome to The Daily MBA™ Series, Business Basics for Entrepreneurs. This series is meant to give you the basics of business and management, in manageable 15 minute chunks. My inspiration was the Personal MBA site. Josh Kaufman does a fantastic job. The quality of the articles are stellar and the recommended reading is second to none. The Personal MBA forum is also to blame (in a good way). The side project discussion and encouragement from S Deshmukh really got me going on this. Besides that, my motivation for taking on this series include:
- Writing Practice: I needed a way to practice writing since I am writing a book on management (technical management to be exact). I figured the more you write, the better you get. That seems to work for everything else.
- SCORE clients: I volunteer with SCORE and get a lot of business questions. That is one of the reasons I started to blog. I was always answering the same questions over and over again. Instead of writing them all from scratch, why not just blog about it!
- Author’s Platform: Part of writing a book means developing your writer’s platform. The best description of a platform is your following or who listens to you. The more you publish your writing, the more available it becomes. Over time, this creates your platform.
If you don’t want to click through every link, you can purchase the eBook on Amazon for $0.99. The eBook edition has 3 bonus topics not listed below. If you find the series beneficial, then I would appreciate your support.
