Caffeine is an undeniably dominant force. For many people it’s an occasional treat, for others maybe a daily pick up, and for a few it’s water. While addiction to caffeine is an undeniable negative, the occasional pick-up really isn’t too harmful. Common drinks like coffee even have a range of benefits.
Although there’s still a problem. Caffeine attempts to solve an issue, but instead just puts a band-aid on it. Sleepless nights, distraction, low energy and focus, these are things people consume caffeine for. And while caffeine does provide energy, it doesn’t do much beyond that.
Today’s world is plagued by constant advertisements, distractions, and notifications. It can be really hard to just sit down and do what one wants to do. Caffeine unfortunately can’t help with this. While energy drinks are used to increase focus, that’s not their purpose. For those struggling with focus and distraction, caffeine might just make it worse.
So what do people do? The answer, really, is to live a bit better. Take in more nutrients, stay active, sleep longer, be healthy. People know this though, and it’s very very hard. That’s exactly why things like coffee exist. But there is another option. Modern energy drinks, new novel ones, they serve a different purpose.
These drinks drop the caffeine and in place add vitamins, minerals, antioxidants. Things that are actually proven to improve focus. It’s not going to be as much of a boost as coffee, but it is sincerely good for you. Good in a way that makes it so these drinks can be consumed for years. This is the alternative to caffeine. It’s not terribly shiny or exciting, but that’s not where the answer lies.
