Ah, email. The bane of most people’s existence. I don’t know an entrepreneur that does not get inundated with a tsunami of email daily about the latest and greatest marketing automation app, productivity tool, or how “we can help your development team be more productive.” Really? Do tell.
Whether we like it or not, email is effective. The smart guys over at HubSpot, keep stats all this digital marketing stuff, including email and found that it’s the most effective digital channel for customer retention. That’s pretty awesome.
So why am I giving you a brief history of the effectiveness of email? Simple. I want you to subscribe to more emails :)!
Actually, I want you to subscribe to 3 of the best email newsletters for entrepreneurs. If you’re an entrepreneur and want to be sexy smart about all things entrepreneurial, then these 3 are a must.
CB Insights
This is by far the best-written newsletter I have ever read when it comes to data about startups and venture capital. CEO Anand Sanwal loves data but also loves to tell an entertaining story about said data. CB Insights makes sense of the craziness of startups and venture capital.
CB Insights data is the industry standard for startup and marketing data. They get quoted all the time by the likes of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fortune to name a few. The graphs are beautiful, sexy, and simply awesome.
I Love You Anand! There, I said it :)!
Launch Ticker
Launch Ticker gives you the top stories in technology in less than 10 minutes a day. The email is beautifully simple with story summaries in less than 300 words. The twice daily email (9am and 5pm pacific) is a must read. I never miss reading them.
What’s great about Launch Ticker is that it allows you to click a link to read the whole story, email it to a friend or tweet it right from the email. Darn convenient when you want to win friends and influence people.
The Hustle
The Hustle want to be the biggest and best creator of content for entrepreneurial millennials. What about all us Gen-X’s? Some of us aren’t that dazed and confused.
Even thought it caters to the millennial crowd, it’s well written and chalked full of useful news about all things startups, culture, and entrepreneurial type stuff with some hipster culture thrown in. It’s also downright enjoyable to read in a Hunter S. Thompson meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer kinda way.
Sign up for all their Secrets or Click Here so you can be smart about what’s going on and entertained to boot. How can you beat that?
Full Disclosure: The link is my Ambassador link so I get credit if you sign up. Credit you say. For what? Well, there is this really cool T-Shirt that will make this young looking for his age Gen-Xer, look cool as I hustle around SF? I already have a beard. Now, I just need the T-Shirt. Help a brother out.
Now, Get After It
I know that all of you want to be in the know and educated about what’s going on in the entrepreneurial world. If you subscribe to these 3 email newsletters, you’ll be that much closer to starting the next Uber of X, Tesla of Y or AirBnB of Z. Well, maybe not but at least you’ll look cool and smart trying.
