I really like this Soloist concept since it gets past the whole individual contributor stigma (i.e. can only work alone) and focuses on excellence alone and as part of an ensemble (group). The soloist needs others to thrive but also needs alone time to master his craft.
The latest post over at I Hate People gives some great advice on how to get that critical practice time before performing with the ensemble. Number two (Email Alerts) I really need to implement. I am a total slave to the ding of the Inbox and it craters my focus constantly. One I just cannot do is number six (Cut the Caff). Coffee is my addiction. Without it, I am a total mess.
