Richard has a wonderful post about where young people (20-29) are heading. And it’s to the cities (if you are college educated and single). No surprise given the changing face of work. Most young people don’t even know what a pension is, let alone will work for the same company their whole career. Even though social media seem to have created electronic cocoons, the biggest factor for where young people live is the ability to make friends. This shocked me a bit but the rational makes sense — the broader and deeper your social network, the better job opportunities and the richer your life. An excellent read.
