Mike’s latest post details some good strategies about email marketing. I don’t do much of this yet but do subscribe to several email lists and find them valuable. For me, I hate the overdone ones that are just sales pitches. Give me something that is interesting and not too much on the sell me something and we will be just fine.

There are few email newsletters that I read regularly: Chris Brogan’s, Mark Eckenrode’s (HomeStomper) and well, I read Seth Godin’s blog via email.
For the most part I think a lot of newsletters are overdone.
Now with respect to email newsletter providers, I’ve used Madmimi.com (great because it’s free up to the first 100 subscribers and it’s ridiculously easy to customize) and I’m now using Aweber.com (I love it for a lot of reasons).
I just think that newsletters are a great way to get conversational with folks and build relationships.

Richardo- Thanks for the pointers and comment. The one email newsletter that I really like is EzineArticles.com. Their series on writing articles was really good. I have not checked out Seth Godin’s newsletter yet. I think I will give it a shot.
