Enough with the rain already. Every weekend it is cold and rainy while during the week it is sunny and warm. How am I supposed to get long bike rides in with that kind of weather pattern. Maybe now, that spring is here, the rain will take the weekends off. I know we need it, with the drought and all, but enough already.
It is true that you can ride your bike in the rain. You will not melt or anything like that. The problem lies in other people on the road. Nothing ruins your day like some big SUV taking a corner too quick and almost side swiping you into a ditch. Equally annoying but not as fatal is the car that splashes the puddle all over you. That is just a nice way to say, are you mad for riding your bike in the rain?
I should stop complaining and just learn to deal with it. The rain will go away soon and then everyone will freak out about not having enough water. Conserve, conserve, conserve will be all over the radio and TV. Why don’t we just conserve all the time or maybe build a couple of more reservoirs. In the end, I just need to learn to not hate the rain so much.
